We all waited with bated breath a little over a month ago when the small team behind No Man's Sky pressed the release button for the ambitious Voyager update.We poured love and effort into it for over a year without knowing what the outcome would be.It's been an incredible experience for the entire team to witness the overwhelming response and see player numbers reach their highest level since the game's launch over nine years ago.I honestly never thought this would happen and the journey has been amazing.
This also brought me one of the most precious moments of the past nine years: standing in the space-time anomaly, admiring the beautiful, creative, science-fiction-filled spaceships built by other players.And the experience of floating in space outside the ship really resonated with players and provided moments of tranquility that I loved.All this has us immediately excited for the next update!
Today, in our latest update, BREACH, we’re introducing explorable space debris to further explore the thrill of spacewalking.
It also gives players more reasons to enjoy the experience.Salvaging these wrecks unlocks a host of highly anticipated new ship building parts.We also solved the problem that players need to spend a lot of time in the workshop to design their dream ships, and improved and expanded the ship construction system.
In the "Rift" update, a new expedition will also be launched - players will travel through a desolate and abandoned universe to explore the story behind a mysterious abandoned wreckage.You'll need to sail to the edge of the universe, salvage the wreckage of the ill-fated ship, and add unique parts and modules to your ship building shop.

You can now encounter and salvage wrecked frigates in distant deep space.Enter the zero-gravity environment to explore these hollow wrecks and equip your multi-tool laser to dismantle their valuable modules - then use the scraps to build the ship of your dreams in the frigate workshop.
New frigate module
A host of new frigate modules can now be salvaged from deep space frigate wrecks and planetary scrapheaps.These include new landing gear, shields, weapons, connectors, and a host of highly anticipated wedge-shaped modules that will enable extremely creative and complex frigate construction.
Quality of experience optimization
In addition to the slew of fixes, improvements, and new features included in today’s update, the No Man’s Sky team has been hard at work improving the Voyager update since its release in August.Notably, part snapping has been greatly improved, collision determination is more robust, and the Frigate Workshop now offers the option to apply a color palette to an entire frigate.Now is the perfect time to build a frigate!

The geometries of these frigate modules are ancient and distinct, shaped by the crimson heartbeat of the universe itself.The external Elon fairing and Elon diffuser hull panels will add a bold and angular look to your frigate silhouette.
Wings of Elrond
This Atlas-themed wing module provides stability during the frigate's intra-atmospheric flight.
Alon Pyramid, Alon Pillar and Alon Wings
These Atlas-themed decorative modules can be installed on the frigate's exterior, further showcasing the ship's devotion to that crimson entity.
Elrond's Powerful Shield
The Ellon Power Shield is connected to the frigate's shield system, providing a significant performance boost to the ship's defense array.
Ellon starship wake
This engine mod will inject a crimson arterial streak into the starship's wake.
Elrond Drive and Elrond Blade
Use the bulky Elrond Drives to design a chunky Atlas Frigate; or use the streamlined Elrond Blade Wings for a lighter, sleeker aesthetic.
Many similar wrecks have begun to appear in the far reaches of the universe, and the bravest travelers prepared to scavenge will be rewarded with rich rewards, including new vertical and structural parts that allow players to build giant ships, as well as rare, gleaming Atlas-themed wings, engines and skins.
Rift Expedition also brings players together to explore strange and rare solar systems of purple stars.The planets in these systems have deeper oceans, incredible terrain, and unstable gas giants that are a lot of fun to explore.This expedition will take players to an all-new space wreckage and is a great way to salvage rare new ship parts while uncovering a spooky story perfect for the Halloween season!
It's been a crazy year for the No Man's Sky team.We're incredibly proud and gratified that nine years after its release, we're still working on a game that we all love so dearly.
It’s really inspiring for us to see so many people enjoying the Voyager update.We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the future.
