Krafton, the Korean publisher of games such as "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds", "Deep Sea", and "Perfect Soundwave", announced its intention to reorganize into an "AI-first" company.

On Thursday, Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han issued a statement to local media saying the company would reorganize its development operations to "put artificial intelligence (AI) at the center of problem solving."
To achieve this goal, Krafton will invest approximately 100 billion won (approximately $69.5 million) to build a GPU cluster to "support multi-stage tasks requiring complex reasoning and iterative planning" and serve as "a basis for accelerating the implementation of agent AI."
Starting in 2026, Krafton will invest an additional 30 billion won (approximately $20.8 million) annually to "actively support employees in directly utilizing and applying various AI tools to their work."
The company also said it would reorganize its human resources systems and organizational operations around artificial intelligence.
“Starting today, Krafton will automate work with artificial intelligence and fully implement an artificial intelligence-centered management system, allowing employees to focus on creative activities and complex problem solving.
We will grow by leaps and bounds as a company that uses artificial intelligence to promote member growth and expand organizational challenge areas.
Through our ‘AI first’ strategy, Krafton will expand each member’s growth opportunities, expand player experience-centered creative endeavors, and lead AI innovation throughout the gaming industry."
