A chilling tribute to classic survival horror!

October 23, 2025 - The long-awaited moment for classic survival horror fans has finally arrived! Tormented Souls 2 from independent team Dual Effect officially launches on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Epic Games Store today, bringing the horror atmosphere of the mid-90s to a new generation of players.

The protagonist Caroline is once again plunged into the abyss of horror, revealing unexposed areas of the decaying town of Hessey Manor, and the new nightmare monsters she will face in the process of searching for her missing sister Anna.In an unprecedented crisis, Caroline must rely on unexpected allies and assemble an improvised arsenal of deadly weapons to survive.

But as the darkness spreads, the boundaries between reality and the "other world" of hell gradually blur, and a greater terror that can destroy the world is emerging...

A town shrouded in secrets

In the remote mountains of southern Chile, the Jesse estate relies on mining and fishing for its livelihood, and the local economy depends on the nearby fish processing plant.In times of distress, the townspeople turn to the mysterious Mother Superior and her secretive order for spiritual guidance.

After Anna disappears, Caroline wakes up to find the town eerily deserted, and is left to explore a series of eerie places alone - from the glorious past of the monastery, to the dilapidated and desolate shopping mall, through the eerie cemetery and to the echoing abandoned high school.

New threats and deadly weapons

Caroline soon realizes she's not alone - the town is overrun by depraved residents.

Tormented fanatics, four-legged bladed monsters lurk in the shadows, and barnacle-encrusted deformities squirm in the ventilation ducts.In the alien world outside reality, there are more powerful existences lurking, which can no longer be resisted by force alone.

Fortunately, the variety of weapons available to Caroline is now greatly expanded.

The automatic nail gun continuously fires sharp pellets, while the hand cannon can stop the largest monsters instantly.She can also take advantage of the new Quick Switch system to switch weapons instantly during combat, and enhance her firepower with new components.

Who can you trust?

After the sisters arrive at the convent, the Mother Superior soon reveals her true colors, revealing the sinister pact she made with her grandfather.But what is her real purpose? Why is Caroline's body covered in rough needle pricks?

The mystery deepens - Caroline crosses paths with two mysterious men: a warlock searching for the ancient Book of the Dead, and a former soldier on a secret mission for the U.S. government.

Both harbor dark secrets, but with no way out, Caroline forms a fragile alliance with them to uncover the truth.

About Tormented Souls 2

After the horrific hospital incident in the previous game, Caroline only hopes to live a peaceful life with her sister Anna.

However, soon after, Anna began to be troubled by visions of violence and death, and drew some bizarre drawings - which gradually turned into horrors of reality.

In order to save her sister, Caroline went to a remote town in the mountains of southern Chile to seek help from a mysterious clinic.But behind the calm and smiling staff, there is a disgusting truth hidden - the sisters are about to fall into a brand new nightmare...
