"Borderlands 4" released a heavy update today.
- The sorting filter for backpacks now retains its settings and no longer automatically resets to "Sort by manufacturer";
- When switching from multiplayer mode to single player mode, the locations that have been explored will be retained;
- Combat radar will now highlight legendary loot (well, in theory - it's still a bug);
Unfortunately, we still have to talk about the bad stuff—because there are a lot of them.

First of all, Gearbox messed up the crit dagger thing.Maybe you don’t know, but there is an infamous dagger in “Borderlands 4” that can instantly kill the final boss.In other words, the effect is almost equivalent to an instant kill - when combined with certain Builds, such as Vickers' bleeding flow, it can trigger an infinite superimposed damage cycle, and the BOSS will melt quickly like foam with acid poured on it.
According to the update notes, Gearbox has "reduced the critical hit rate of Jacobs' critical strike dagger to 30%. Developer's note: This is inevitable, you should have expected it!" But what players didn't expect is that for some builds, this dagger will now reduce the damage per second.Moxsy, the anchor of the "Borderlands" series, released the test results on the X platform: "The new critical dagger will force your critical hit rate to 30%, instead of increasing your critical hit rate by 30%."
For example: Suppose you use related skills to increase your critical hit rate to 70%, and then attack the enemy with a dagger with "penetration enhancement" - at this time, your critical hit rate becomes 30%.When the dagger is inserted into the enemy's body, the enemy becomes even less sensitive to your bullets.I guess the handle of the dagger stopped the bullet or something?
To be fair, this is probably the most literal interpretation of "penetrating reinforcement."The skill description reads "When you hit a target with this, your critical hit rate is 30%", and this is indeed the actual effect.But this is too counter-intuitive - applying a debuff should not reduce your damage.
Then there’s the Halloween event, Kairos Horror.If you go to fight a certain world BOSS, the screen will be covered by a weird orange filter, and you can get a few ordinary legendary equipment--none.
Considering how rich the Halloween activities were in the previous game, players were naturally dissatisfied.The dissatisfaction was so intense that the Borderlands 4 subreddit had to compile all the complaints into a single aggregate thread.I have excerpted some content for you to experience:
“To be honest, it’s better not to do this event, it’s like receiving a dead mouse in a box for Christmas,” one player wrote.Another added: ""Borderlands 3" gave us new maps, new bosses, new music, new weapons that can be used, new scaling effects, and a real Halloween atmosphere. And "Borderlands 4"? We have to find those ordinary native random bosses first, add a red filter to the screen when fighting them, and give us two pieces of junk equipment."
"To be honest, this Halloween 'event' is so disappointing. I know it's just a small event, but compared to Borderlands 3, it's a huge step down."
There is also a small episode: Zed's machine will no longer reset the skill cooldown. The official has confirmed that this is a BUG.But for Gearbox, this update should have been a sure win, but it turned out to be an unfortunate little problem - but to be fair, although this update has many mistakes, it does have some outstanding features.
