In a blog post about Dying Light's Pilgrim Outpost, Techland series director Tymon Smektala detailed all the content that will be added to Dying Light: The Beast, including the "Call of the Beast" challenge path, the upcoming "New Game+" mechanic, and the new "Nightmare Mode" coming in the future.
Tymon said that some elements of Nightmare difficulty were inspired by other games, such as Alien: Isolation and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Dying Light: The Trapped Beast is a gift that keeps on
Dying Light: Trapped is a phenomenal open-world zombie game with a lot of content, even though it started out as DLC for Dying Light 2.
While the official blog mentions legendary levels, light pursuit updates for the PC version, and collaboration with PUBG Mobile, the best part is the discussion about Nightmare Mode.
"We're currently looking at each boss to see how we can tweak their behavior to make them more unpredictable. Additionally, we're also looking at some clever tweaks to 'volatile enemies' - these are just preliminary ideas, so I can't promise much, but we're looking to games like Alien: Isolation or Resident Evil 3 Nemesis for inspiration."
Nightmare Mode will launch after the New Game+ and Legendary Level updates, and it will be a smarter update that doesn't just make enemies stronger.
"Yes, enemies will do more damage and the game will be harder, but that's not the point in itself. We want to try a more realistic survival loop - so expect some new mechanics in that regard."
"Dying Light: Beast" players can participate in the challenge road that lasts until 2026.Through this challenge path, users can unlock exclusive rewards for participating in community challenges. The first challenge requires the player group to accumulate 60 million severed limbs.
