It has been nearly eight years since the release of "Warhammer: Vermintide 2", but developer Fatshark currently has no plans to launch a sequel, but is committed to pushing this flagship cooperative game to new heights.

"We can definitely expand the campaign lines in different directions and delve deeper into the fantasy world of Warhammer," design director Joakim Setberg revealed to PC Gamer. "There is still a lot of content worth developing, including expanding existing gameplay modes, such as 'Chaos Wasteland'."

The development team not only plans to launch more major content updates to expand the game's already grand world, but also optimize the core experience to respond to player concerns: "Many game systems need to be re-examined, not 'fixed', but there are indeed slightly rough settings. We are always polishing these details. In terms of experience optimization, there is still a lot of room for improvement. "Vermintide" will continue to evolve."

"Warhammer 40K: Undertide" developed by Fat Shark at the same time is a similarly hard-core cooperative game. Although it focuses on dark-style firearms and has different emphasis on melee combat with "Vermintide", the mechanism design is worth learning from.

"We introduced a very cool sprint technology in "Undertide"," the director explained. "This caused me to always feel disconnected when switching between the two games for testing: Nothing happens when pressing the Shift key? This is incredible."

Although not explicitly confirmed, the team is apparently drawing inspiration from its 40K-set sister title.Perhaps soon, mechanisms such as sprinting will be transplanted to "Vermintide" to make the mobile experience keep pace with the times.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the series, Fat Shark announced that it will launch a new map of "Vermintide 2" for free on November 20.A Halloween celebration event is currently being held in the game (as of November 2), including new accessories, double experience, limited tasks and other rich content.
