The action-adventure game "Ghost of Tsushima" developed by Sucker Punch Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment will launch a director's cut version on PC on May 16, 2024.The official update patch No. 8 has been released, which mainly separates the single-player game from the online multiplayer "Qitan Mode". The story of "Ghost of Tsushima" takes place in Japan in 1274. It is based on the Yuan-Japanese War. Mongolian general Hetong Khan led an army to invade Tsushima Island. The resistance of samurai Jin Jin and lord Shimura failed. After Jin was rescued, he transformed into a "war ghost" in order to save Shimura and protect his homeland, and began to use guerrilla and other tactics to fight against the Mongolian army.The game adopts an open world design. Players control Jin to explore Tsushima Island, fight with a katana, learn combat postures, unlock secondary weapons, and collect materials to upgrade equipment. The diverse gameplay brings an immersive experience.

This update separates the single-player game from the online multiplayer "Qi Tan Mode".For players who own or purchase "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut" on the Steam platform, "Ghost Mode" is now available as a standalone DLC at no additional cost*.The gaming experience for existing players will not change and no action is required.
New players need to activate the free "Qi Tan Mode" DLC before they can play online multiplayer content.This mode requires binding a PlayStation Network account.
In this update, we have also fixed some bugs and optimized the user interface for Steam Deck handheld devices.The game now includes exclusive Steam Deck graphics presets, and we’re happy to announce that the single-player mode has officially been verified for Steam Deck!
