
The first season of Battlefield 6 adds new maps, modes, vehicles, and weapons to the game; Zone Clash brings Tactical Arena, Portal, and a compact squad-based competitive mode: Proving Grounds.

(NASDAQ: EA) and the "Battlefield" studio have joined forces to launch "Battlefield™ Forbidden Clash", a genre-changing and free-to-play work based on the unique core of the "Battlefield" classic.The main focus of this game is a subversive interpretation of tactical competition: an intense team competition mode called "Proving Ground", which also brings new mechanisms to unlock the potential of Portals.Zone Clash will accompany Battlefield 6 Season 1, moving the battlefield to Southern California and bringing a new season of content to the ultimate Total War experience.
With the launch of Battlefield™ Forbidden Clash, players can join the battle for free starting today*.This is a combat sandbox full of gunpowder, set in California areas and beaches, a destructible battlefield called "Lindenburg".
As part of the free-to-play content, players can enter the largest map in Battlefield history: Lindenburg, and experience a new interpretation of the battle royale.Combining Battlefield's unique core with the best elements of the tactical competitive genre, it provides teams with unparalleled opportunities to find a way to win in every matchup and achieve ultimate victory.Players will drop into a massive 100-player battle, scour a vast area for powerful loot, and defeat the enemy squad in a classic Battlefield experience.Tactical destruction effects bring a new level of strategy to the genre, allowing players to carve their own path to victory or transform the environment into their own deadly weapon to crush the opposing squad.Every battle is a sensational firefight, delivering the breathtaking cinematic gameplay that Battlefield is known for.
Free-to-play Zone Clash also includes Proving Grounds, a new mode that takes the squad competition experience to a whole new level of intensity.In this fast-paced Annihilation mode, eight teams of four will compete in a series of dynamic turn-based missions in a tournament format.Each round has a 5-minute time limit for teams to complete their respective mission objectives.Be prepared for the unexpected, as each round's locations and missions are unique.
Players can also break boundaries and change the rules of engagement through the Battlefield Portal in Forbidden Clash.Through this set of tools, players can create or discover their own "Forbidden Clash" experience in the ever-changing and continuously upgrading Lindenberg game space.Whether you can create a grueling sledgehammer-only environment, compete against the best in headshot contests, or create something completely unexpected with these powerful scripting and customization tools, it's all free in Lindenberg Sandbox.

Season 1 is available on all platforms starting today and will offer three unique stages with vastly different content throughout the festive season.The first phase of Season 1, called Operation Stealth, begins today.It includes three new weapons, a new map, a new high-intensity close-quarters multiplayer mode called Strike Point, and more.The new map "Blackwell Oilfield" is a large-scale new Total War experience set in the arid scrubland of Southern California; while the new mode "Strike Point" brings the team-based, one-life 4v4 high-stakes combat experience of "Forbidden Clash" into multiplayer mode.This mode pits squads against each other in fast-paced battles to compete for a single capture point.
Season 1 also launched with a "Stealth"-themed battle pass containing 100 tiers, a total of 6 paths and 10 prestige levels.Premium Battlefield Pro tiers and premium store content are also available today.
