The Pokémon Company announced that in order to fix major game issues reported by players, "Pokémon Legends Z-A" is developing an update patch that will be released in November.These problems mainly involve the Pokémon capture mechanism and abnormal task progress under specific situations, causing the game flow to be interrupted in some scenes.This update aims to improve game stability and provide a smoother experience for Nintendo Switch and Switch2 players.

The official statement pointed out that the most serious glitch occurred before the first Mega Evolution appeared in large numbers in the battle: if the player's storage box is full and the box interface is not opened in time, all Pokémon will fail to be captured.In addition, when the day and night change in the game is synchronized with the moment when the moves hit the target, some side missions will be permanently blocked because the target cannot be hit.The patch scheduled to be released in November 2025 will completely fix these anomalies and restore full game functionality.

Pokémon capture exception:

Before the first Mega Evolution appears in a large number of battles, if the Pokémon storage box is full and the player has never opened the storage box interface, they will never be able to successfully capture the Pokémon.

Task reward exception:

When the storage box is full, complete the side mission to reward Pokémon. Although the task will appear completed, the Pokémon will not actually be added to the inventory.

Battle transition program error:

In a specific side mission, if the day-night cycle is completely synchronized with the moment when the move hits the target, the target will be permanently unable to be hit, resulting in the mission being unable to progress.
