The core members of the founding team, Steve Taylor, Dan Huang, Joe Walsh, and Oliver Schindel, all held senior positions in the "Fall Beans" project at Mediatonic Studios, and the other co-founder, Paul Croft, was the founding veteran of the studio.

The studio declares that its goal is to "develop interesting new cooperative games that combine humor and physical effects, and maintain a release rhythm of several games per year." The first game will be announced soon.

"This is a rare opportunity to reunite with the original team and we're determined to create the most joyful game imaginable," said Walsh, who serves as design director.

"I'm a big fan of online co-op games, and it's been exciting to watch the evolution of this space over the past few years," said Croft. "It's exciting to reunite with old friends - our goal is to create games that instantly bring joy to players and bring people together."

Mediatonic became an instant hit with the battle royale game "Fall Beans" and was acquired by Epic Games in 2021.The game came out during the epidemic and gained a huge user base during the period when real-life social interactions were restricted. The studio was later hit hard by Epic's wave of layoffs in 2023.
