In a special tweet celebrating the 40th anniversary of the series, Bandai officially announced that the new "Dragon Ball" adaptation game will be announced on January 25, 2026.

The event, which will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, will also feature other announcements, panels and activities, hosted by Masako Nozawa (actress who voices Goku), Akio Iyo (executive producer) and Hironobu Kageyama, the composer of some of the series' most iconic opening songs, such as Cha-La-Head-Cha-la and We Gotta Power, the opening theme of the classic Dragon Ball Z anime.
Fighting games "Dragon Ball FighterZ" and "Dragon Ball: Lightning Explosion!"ZERO" is still getting updates and new content, and the RPG games "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot", "Dragon Ball: Breakers" and a number of free games are also still getting updates and new content.
