Microsoft executives have recently publicly stated again that the hardware business will remain an important part of the company's strategy.Although the current marketing strategy continues to emphasize the concept of "Xbox is a service rather than a single console", Microsoft has no intention of stopping the production of Xbox consoles and is working with AMD to promote a new multi-year product roadmap.

In a recent interview with Variety magazine, Xbox President Sarah Bond reiterated Microsoft's game business plans for future hardware systems. She particularly emphasized the roadmap for cooperation with AMD in the field of "next-generation hardware" and confirmed that the product line will not be limited to traditional game consoles. The executive also revealed that Microsoft is currently in the prototyping and development stage of the new hardware series.

"We are 100% committed to future hardware development. Next-generation hardware is currently in the research and development process, and we continue to carry out prototyping and system planning. The previously announced strategic cooperation with AMD paves the way for this, and everything is progressing steadily. By working with ROG to launch devices such as Xbox Ally, we see opportunities to provide players with multiple choices in innovative ways. These products will complement the next-generation consoles. We always listen to the needs of players and creators. When innovative needs emerge in the market, we will definitely put them into practice."

In the official announcement of next-generation hardware released four months ago, Bond has clearly revealed the diversified layout of Xbox hardware forms: "We are fully investing in a next-generation hardware product matrix covering traditional consoles, handheld devices, PC platforms, cloud games and peripheral accessories."
