Recently, Konami's official retail platform Konami Style announced that it has officially canceled the physical album of the "Silent Hill F" soundtrack originally scheduled to be released on December 17.The cancellation involves both the regular CD version and the Konami Style limited vinyl version. The official statement only cited "many factors" as the reason for the cancellation.
The announcement confirmed that all customers who have completed pre-orders will gradually receive full refunds. At present, e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Yahoo Shopping still retain product pages, but Tower Records, a mainstream record store in Japan, has taken the lead in removing related products from the shelves, and other retailers are expected to follow suit.

It is worth noting that the soundtrack for this work was jointly created by legendary composer Akira Yamaoka of the "Silent Hill" series and Koei Tecmo composer Kensuke Inage, and invited fellow musicians Dai and Xaki who had participated in the "Higurashi When They Cry" series to participate in the creation.Although the physical version has been cancelled, players can still obtain the digital version of the original soundtrack by purchasing the "Silent Hill F" digital deluxe upgrade package. It is worth noting that the original soundtrack of this game has just been nominated for "Best Game Soundtrack" and "Best Narrative" at the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards.
As of now, Konami has not disclosed the specific reasons for canceling the release, nor has it announced plans for the soundtrack to be released on streaming platforms in the future.
