Yesterday, Cherry Team released Patch No. 4 of "Hollow Knight: Silk Song" with the intention of correcting the Simplified Chinese translation problem that has been criticized by domestic players for a long time. However, according to feedback from community players, the quality of the new version of the translation is still unacceptable. Although the translation of the new version has corrected many omissions, wrong translations and embellished translation problems in dialogue, the new version of the translation has brought more problems, including improper translation changes of boss and location names, translations that are inconsistent with the names of the previous games, and even jokes like "Moss Mother".

Therefore, the Cherry Team responded to the translation issue of the new version of Patch 4, stating that it will continue to pay attention to the feedback from community players and promised not to release a substandard translation version.

The original text is as follows:
Thank you very much for your comments and feedback on the Simplified Chinese translation of the public beta version. These are of great help to us.
There are two points that need to be explained here: We fully agree that proper nouns such as character names and place names should remain consistent with the original text in principle. Only when there are ambiguities or errors in the existing translations, will we consider adjusting specific names.
We promise never to release a translation that does not meet community standards and will continue to pay close attention to player feedback.
