Atlus releases the annual user survey questionnaire, which may have a sequel to "Metaphorical Fantasy"!

Recently, the well-known Japanese developer Atlus released its annual player survey. This questionnaire for IPs such as the Persona series unexpectedly revealed a number of future planning clues, including the sequel to "Metaphorical Fantasy: ReFantazio" released in 2024.

During the survey, questions about the intention to develop the sequel clearly list the options for Persona, "ReFantazio" (2024 Game Contender) and Vanillaware Studios (Developer of the Holy Beast, an important partner of Atlus).

It is worth noting that although players have been waiting for Persona 6 for many years, Atlus has successively launched "Persona 3: Reload", "Metaphorical Fantasy" and the upcoming "Persona 4: Revival", which has been teased by foreign media to "swallow the appetite".The intention to investigate whether the sequel to the fantasy RPG "Metaphorical Fantasy" is particularly obvious - although this work builds an independent worldview, the business response is mediocre, and Atlus may use this data to evaluate the potential of new IP.

Another focus issue involves derivative work development. The questionnaire bluntly asked players about the types of expectations for the new derivative works of Persona, covering action adventure, "unparalleled action RPG", love simulation, "soul Like", online multiplayer and Roguelike. This move has caused controversy among fans in the series, especially "Persona 5" has been adapted many times, and some players bluntly said that "the derivative works have over-consuming IP value."
