From construction student to game company CEO: Foreign media praises Leung's concept of "Shadow Blade Zero&quo

Recently, Liang Qiwei, the producer of "Shadow Blade Zero", said in an interview with PC Gamer in Beijing that the development of "Shadow Blade Zero" has always been the ultimate goal, even if he only led a small team to produce the mobile game "Rain Blood".

Liang Qiwei said: "When I completed the second RPG, I actually received an offer from New York Architects, but when I returned to China for vacation, I found that China's game industry was rising. I thought it was a huge opportunity. Then I met the first investor and supported us to set up a small studio in China. So I refused the offer from New York and flew back to China overnight."

The studio started with the horizontal action game "Rain Blood: The Mysterious Town" and later launched a multi-platform ARPG "Shadow Blade: The Sin".But Liang Qiwei emphasized that the original intention was to create a large-scale action game at the "Shadow Blade Zero" level: "Although the scale and kung fu design of the previous work were cool, it was still not enough to build the world in my heart."

Later, the interviewer of PC Gamer pointed out that this is reminiscent of Larion's leap from "Godlands" to "Bad Gate 3" - a larger scale and cutscene boosting the studio's successful upgrade, and Liang Qiwei nodded in agreement. He smiled and said, "Yes, many people make games to make money, and we make money to make games. After making profits through mobile games, we originally planned to independently develop "Shadow Blade Zero", so we put all the gains from the mobile game into it."

Then, the interviewer praised it: "This is the first time in his 15-year interview career that game developers can bluntly say that games are more important than money, which is obviously out of their love for games."

In addition, Liang Qiwei mentioned the highly acclaimed JRPG "Light and Shadow: Expedition No. 33" and regarded it as an ideal model. He added: "It reminds me of Final Fantasy 10, because I have experienced that era, and I often say I want to recreate the temperament of the PS1/PS2 era - the game is small in size but full of creator personality. Nowadays, such works are as scarce as "Light and Shadow: Expedition No. 33". May our games also express ideas sincerely and polish them carefully. It does not have to be the biggest in the industry, but want to show a sincere heart."
