IO Interactive launched a milestone reward campaign based on player wishlist for its new work "007: Dawn" in early July.Just one month later, the studio announced that the James Bond theme game has become its fastest work to break through 500,000 wishlists, officially surpassing the record of the "Killer" series of games in this regard.
After achieving this first phase milestone, IOI announced that it has unlocked the exclusive skin "Savanna Bloom" for all players."To achieve the first wish-single milestone, the ‘Savannah Bloom’ skin is now unlocked for everyone. This refined and casual tropical look will be available at the time of the game, adding a touch of ease and elegance to your spy adventure," the studio said on social media.
Subsequent wishlist unlocking goals and rewards have also been announced:
·1 million wishlist: Unlock a new prop skin.
·1.25 million wishlist: Unlock a new luxury skin.
·1.5 million wishlist: Unlock a confidentiality reward (details are to be announced later by IOI).
In addition, to celebrate the first milestone, the studio will also release a free set of game-themed animation wallpapers.
IOI elaborated on the strategy in an event announcement in early July: “The mission is simple: work together to unlock the wishlist milestones of 007: Dawn. Each goal is achieved, new in-game and community rewards, including style, exquisite content and a secret reward.”
The first trailer for "007: Dawn" was released in June this year. The game is positioned as the origin story of James Bond, and players will play the role of this MI6 agent from his youth.Unlike the "Killer" series with gameplay as the core, this game will focus on cinematic experience. However, the studio also confirmed that some of the "Killer's DNA" (the series of special elements) will be retained in "007: Dawn".
"007: Dawn" will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms, and is expected to be released in 2026.
