The fighting game "2XKO" was released again in the 2025 EVO competition. Game director Shaun Rivera accepted a full-scale interview with foreign media, which involved the core issue that players are most concerned about - the possibility of joining the Yodel character.

During EVO 2024 last year, Rivera was asked whether it would join the Yodel people in the game.Height was still a difficult design at that time. He explained that combo failures caused by character size differences (such as a mismatch in height of attack judgment) would bring non-technical frustration.

Surprisingly, the director seems to have loosened compared to last year's firm attitude."The last thing we want to see is that players are fighting against a certain character just because of their size difference," Rivera admitted. "But now we believe that there are many solutions that can achieve small character design. Fighting games such as "Azure Blue Fantasy Versus" have already had successful precedents, and they can completely reduce negative experiences through mechanism optimization."

"The reason why the Yodels have become the focus of the hot topic is because they are a unique symbol of the League of Legends IP." Rivera analyzed, "Players often have a clear distinction between these characters, but there is indeed a strong demand for unconventional characters. Just as the previous discussion on the starting lineup, we always attach importance to players' demands."
