Today, 2K announced next-generation NBA 2K26 game improvements and feature updates for PlayStation®5 (PS5®), Xbox Series X|S, Steam PC and Nintendo Switch™2.ProPLAY is a revolutionary technology of 2K that transforms real NBA shots into realistic immersive gaming animations. The technology continues to evolve in NBA 2K26 to further match the NBA's real-life scenes.Players will now experience more authenticity, personalization, and refocus on a generation of games based on manipulation skills, including a new dynamic sports engine, enhanced shooting rhythm, new offensive controls, and more.
Updates to gameplay supported by ProPLAY include
● New Dynamic Sports Engine: ProPLAY uses AI learning technology to provide driving force for the new sports engine in "NBA 2K26", making all on-field actions more realistic.The precise position of the player’s legs and feet in flight can be matched and adjusted according to the player’s dynamic posture, and ensure they can perform realistic shots and cuts.The new sports engine is the biggest change that players have made since NBA 2K21, and it provides a fresh and authentic feeling.
● Enhanced shooting rhythm: The enhanced shooting rhythm in NBA 2K26 gives players complete control over all aspects of the shooting.Players who use rhythm shooting mechanics will experience a more sensitive jump shot, similar to realistic shooting actions.Through these improvements to rhythmic shooting, NBA 2K26 provides a more skill-based environment that integrates authenticity and competitiveness for a more rewarding experience.
