Later this year, Super Mario Bros. will mark its 40th anniversary, and Nintendo is undoubtedly planning some major plans to mark the milestone.
According to whistleblower John Skinny, one of the plans is to launch the collection of "New Super Mario Brothers" for Switch.Skinny previously shared accurate information about the console before the release of the Switch 2.He claimed to have learned the news through "internal scheduled documents and some localized material from the outsourcing QA team that he has worked with" and said the collection will include the following games:
"New Super Mario Bros." (DS)
"New Super Mario Bros. Wii"
"New Super Mario Bros. 2" (3DS)
If Skinny's claims are true, it would be similar to the Super Mario 3D All-Star collection (which includes 3D Mario games) released by Nintendo at the 35th anniversary of the series, which caused huge controversy over its limited sales.
