Creative Assembly, the developer of Total War: Warhammer 3, has confirmed that it is remastering the siege system and that the team needs players to provide feedback on how to improve it.At the same time, Total War: Warhammer 3 will open a beta version that allows players to experience some of the game's upcoming changes.The test will start on July 24 and end on August 7 for two weeks.
In the latest Steam announcement, Creative Assembly announced that developers are starting to remake the siege system of Total War: Warhammer 3.During the testing period, players can provide feedback and provide suggestions on how to make siege more interesting.
"Only after both developers and players are satisfied with the siege, the relevant changes will be implemented in the official version of the game." Steve Coleman, senior community manager of Creative Assembly, pointed out.More details on the upcoming beta, including how to participate in the test on Steam, will be announced in a follow-up announcement and a live broadcast on the official TV channel today (July 17).
Before the live broadcast began, Milcho Vasilev, head of the combat team of Total War: Warhammer 3, revealed some of the siege changes that will be included in the beta.Vasilev outlines several key areas that will be tweaked in beta, including:
Remove the portable ladder
Rebalance the siege equipment
Adjust the properties of the defense tower and city gate
Improve combat AI
Remake and optimize the siege map
In the future, the developers of Total War: Warhammer 3 plan to release a "wishlist" of possible improvements to the siege.Examples of these possible options include:
Introduce ladders as new constructable siege equipment
Balance updates and remakes of garrison troops
More combat AI and pathfinding system upgrades
Change the construction mechanism of towers and roadblocks
