Ubisoft announced that Charlie Guillemot, son of Ubisoft founder and CEO, will work with Christophe Derennes as co-CEO of Ubisoft Tencent's joint venture subsidiary, focusing on core series such as "Assassin's Creed", "Far Cry" and "Rainbow Six".

Recently, Yves Guillermott sent an internal email talking about its collaboration and architectural transformation with Tencent, saying the subsidiary is part of Ubisoft’s restructuring plan, which marks the beginning of a new future that will reconnect the core traits of Ubisoft’s truly unique enterprise. The new architecture aims to give the team more autonomy and the ability to quickly adjust directions, improve existing mechanisms, simplify operational processes, so that the team can always meet the needs of players and focus on creating high-quality games.

Ubisoft stressed that Tencent will not participate in the daily operations of its subsidiaries, but will provide advice in its development, while Charlie Guillermott and Christoph Drenas have complete decision-making power and can decide independently whether to listen to Tencent’s advice.
