Swedish game developer Fatshark released the first paid DLC for Warhammer 40K: Dark Tide earlier this week, adding the "Judge" career.Today, the studio proudly announced that the DLC's starting performance was impressive.Fatshark CEO and co-founder Martin Valen said in a statement:
"On the first day of the release alone, the number of players exceeded our expected targets. Thank you for making this starter a moment worth remembering!"

The team also shared some interesting data: as a reward for "good companion", the mechanical mastiff has been touched by players more than 459,760 times; the player used the judge character to kill 553,082,097 enemies in total; the most commonly used melee weapon at present is the "Mk III Blanx-type Judgement Shock Hammer", which has been used 969,008 times, and the most commonly used ranged weapon is the "Mk III Executioner Judgement Shotgun", which has been used 1157,103 times; the player's favorite skill is "Breakthrough Line", which has been activated 715,525 times.
In addition to DLC, Fatshark has released a free update, introducing a more structured narrative path to help new players get into the game, while renovating the mission board system and increasing the number of mission options for all characters. The patch also increased the maximum number of manipulated characters and weapon configurations to 8, and added about 900 new dialogue interactions between characters.
Interestingly, "Dark Tide" is not the only "Warhammer 40K" game that launches new content on the theme of Inquisitors - Owlcat's CRPG "Shang Shang Ranren" has just released the "Emperor Code" expansion package, which also introduced this "Emperor Justice Executor" profession, including the new partner "Solomoen Antal".
