Looking back about a year ago, you may still remember that "Jedi 2" was in a very interesting situation. On the one hand, it has achieved great success in reputation and business; on the other hand, due to Sony's absurd regulations that mandatory PSN binding, the game was "bad reviews" by players so that almost no one cares about it.The storm finally subsided, but before that, developer Arrowhead had hinted that a cloak might be designed with the inspiration of "bad bombing" to commemorate the experience. Now, this day and this cloak are finally here.
When the discussion about "The Negative Bombing Inspiration Cloak" of "Jedi 2" first surfaced, it was just as players celebrated that Sony reversed the forced binding requirements of PSN that were attempting to impose on PC players in the late release period - Sony made this concession after experiencing 200,000 Steam negative reviews, large-scale refunds, and chaos in areas where PSN is unavailable.Amid cheers and celebrations, former Arrowhead CEO John Pilester (now the studio's chief creative officer) shared a community-designed cloak on social media, characterized by four red vertical lines, exactly the same as the Steam review trend chart when "The Jedi 2" was bombarded by negative reviews.

Players almost immediately called for it to be officially added to the game, and Pilester responded: "The team is thinking of a suitable name for it." It was not clear whether he took it seriously, but in May last year, he posted an official cloak design (at least a small part of the cropping), suggesting that this "bad review bombing cloak" was indeed true. And now, more than a year later, it officially debuted as a commemorative token.
According to official social media, the cloak was named "Pillars of Freedom" and was launched "to commemorate players' unreserved commitment to defending 'managing democracy'."Arrowhead added: "Once the update is complete, this new uniform will be available in all the Super Destroyer Armory. This cloak will be granted to all existing players. Just like the items we launched before, please be patient and wait for the items to arrive in your inbox."
For "Jedi 2", the past year has been ups and downs. In August last year, Arrowhead was strongly criticized by the community for its development direction of this "real-time service shooter" and fell into a particularly difficult situation. However, the studio quickly took action and launched a 60-day action plan to help the game get back on track. Now the "Jedi Scouts" are facing the biggest threat recently - the "Spirit Clan" has invaded the "Super Earth" itself.
