"Brothers of the Seas: Hometown" is scheduled to be launched on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms on August 28 this year. Before its release, developer Hangar 13 is doing its best to showcase the progress this prequel game has made in the picture quality.Hangar 13 said that thanks to Unreal 5 engine, "Four Seas Brothers: Hometown" will be the best-quality "Four Seas Brothers" game in the series ever.
In its new developer log "The Collision of Art and Technology" video, Hangar 13 deeply explains that "Brothers of the Seas: Hometown" has made great progress compared to other games in the series with the help of the new technology provided by Unreal 5 engine.
"It allows us to tell the story in a way that other technologies cannot achieve. To be honest, from Metahuman to Nanite to Lumen, these are different technologies we are working to push to the extreme. It allows us to master the complexity of the performance, allow us to automate parts of the process, and ultimately allow us to really start leaving a human mark on certain materials."
Lead character artist Ivan Rylka added that the Unreal 5 engine features “significant improvements” compared to the engine used before Hangar 13, confidently saying “no doubt this will be the best-looking Brothers game in the series.”
