Recently there are rumors that "The Witcher 3" will usher in a new story DLC early next year. The developer is not CDPR, but the studio Fool's Theory, which is responsible for remake "The Witcher 1".
The news comes from well-known Polish game commentator Borys Nieśpielak, who revealed the above news on his recent podcast.
Borys Nieśpielak pointed out that the new plot of "The Witcher 3" DLC may be the unnamed project mentioned in the CDPR financial report.
Unfortunately, there isn't much detail about this possible story DLC, it could be an extra quest line, similar to the free quest that was launched to celebrate Netflix live-action episodes, and it could be a longer paid expansion pack.
He said on the podcast, “Based on the information we have collected, this mysterious project released by CD Projekt Red, produced by Fool’s Theory, is the plot DLC for The Witcher 3. This has been confirmed from multiple independent sources.
What we know at the moment is that this is the DLC of The Witcher 3.So far, I cannot confirm further, but it is also possible to release it in the next year as early as possible.
We also roughly know the order of release: first, the console MOD, then the DLC of "The Witcher 3", then the Witcher 4, and finally the remake of "The Witcher 1".”
