At around 3:30 pm ET (3:30 AM Beijing time today), social platform user OatmealDome was the first to report that the interruption of Google's cloud service is affecting Nintendo's online service.

Since Nintendo's network service is built on Google Cloud technology, the multiplayer online functions of games such as "Spra 3" and "Mario Kart: World" are temporarily unavailable.The fault monitoring website Down Detector has received more than 14,000 user reports, and nearly 4,000 Pokémon GO players have also reported the same problem. Users will encounter a disconnect error when trying to connect to Nintendo services.

According to OatmealDome, specific online games such as Nintendo eShop and Tetris 99 have not been affected yet.Google's official statement shows that engineers have located the root cause of the failure and are implementing a repair plan, but users in many regions around the world will still face varying degrees of interruption, and many services, including Google's AI service platform, have been affected.As of press time, Google has not announced its expected recovery time.
