Recently, publisher Forever Entertainment revealed the resolution and frame rate target details of "House of Death 2: Remake" on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.Monika Ginter, the company's marketing and communications manager, confirmed in an interview that the basic target resolution of this game on all platforms is 1080p.
She further explained that the target resolution of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are closer to 4K in actual operation. In terms of performance, the base version of PS5 and Xbox Series S are targeting a stable 60 FPS.For the stronger PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X, the developer MegaPixel has a target frame rate of up to 120 FPS.
When asked about her views on super-resolution technologies such as Sony PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), she said the studio values any technical solutions that can improve game fluency, which provides more room for development.
"Any technology that helps us achieve a smoother gaming experience is obviously an advantage, especially for games like House of Death 2: Remake, where frame rate and responsiveness are critical, even without relying on PSSR, we set high frame rate goals. But being able to leverage such technologies gives us additional flexibility. It helps us maintain visual quality while optimizing performance, ensuring that the game always maintains a fast and smooth experience on the supported hardware."
"House of Death 2: Remake" will be officially launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch platforms on August 7 this year. The game will include modern graphics and remake original soundtracks, while also allowing players to choose to switch back to the original graphics style and sound effects.
