At this year's summer game festival, foreign media WCCF interviewed Tymon Smektała, director of the series "The Deserted Light".Foreign media asked if there was any plan to bring "The Deserted Light: The Hidden Beast" to the Switch 2 platform.Tymon Smektała made no promises, but he was open to the matter.
"I hope this happens at some point, but there is no news yet," he said.
At the same time, Director Techland also detailed several technical improvements to the C engine of "The Deserted Light: The Hidden Beast":
"We have also greatly improved the visual effect. Our independently developed C engine has gone through many iterations. Now all weather effects, material rendering, lighting, shadows and how the sun moves in the sky have been improved. All of this has reached a completely different level compared to "The Deserted Light 2."
On the other hand, The Deserted Light: The Sleepy Beast is one of the few games that are still planned to be available on older consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) in 2025.Therefore, if you log in to Switch 2, from a performance perspective, there should be no big problem with Switch 2 running this game.
However, it is said that most of the third-party games on Nintendo Switch 2 have poor sales, so for this Polish developer, whether to transplant depends on business decisions.
"The Deserted Light 1" was launched on the Switch six and a half years after its debut in 2015. It took this opportunity to include all DLCs and be released in the form of a "platinum version".
It is worth mentioning that "Distressed Light 2" announced that it will log in to Switch through the cloud version, but this version has never been implemented.
