The latest clues suggest that Respawn is working hard to end Carl's story—even though the source is not an official channel.Although Star Wars Jedi: The Falling Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivors are both well received, but the creative director of the series Stig Asmussen suddenly resigned in 2023, casting a shadow on the development of the third installment.The veteran producer, who was involved in the God of War series, later founded the new studio Giant Skull and is currently developing an undisclosed action adventure game.

EA Entertainment President Laura Miele confirmed at the September 2024 Investors Conference that Respawn is producing the third work of the Star Wars Jedi series, which will end Carl's storyline.

The latest evidence comes from the LinkedIn file of a current employee of Respawn.The employee revealed that he has been involved in the "Unnamed Jedi Project" over the past year and three months, and his work includes:

It is interesting to note that the developer has worked for Naughty Dog for nearly two years and participated in the design of the RPG growth system for "Star: The Prophet of Heresy" before leaving the company.

Although EA made personnel adjustments to Respawn in April last year, current intelligence shows that the team is still steadily advancing the project.Losing Stig Asmussen is certainly a major loss, but most of the development backbone of the first two games are still there.
