After decades of success in the Killer series, fans have been looking forward to a modern James Bond game that meets AAA standards. From the recent CG trailer, it can be seen that IO Interactive's "007: Dawn" is obviously aiming at this goal.
However, studio CEO Hakan Abrak revealed that "007: Dawn" will also adopt IO Interactive's unique "service game" mode in "Assassination World", which also makes fans extremely excited.
In an interview with The Game Business, Abrak was asked whether "007: Dawn" would adopt a single-player instant service model, and he confirmed that the studio has accumulated extensive experience in extending the single-player game life cycle by adding free content to players.
"We obviously have a lot of experience from Killer: Assassination World," he said, "to know how to extend the lifespan of a single player by providing free content that players love."
This is already very obvious in the "Killer" series, so IO Interactive also plans to make "007: Dawn" a game that can last for many years. Therefore, the CEO confirmed that the team will apply some lessons that worked in Killer: Assassination World.
"The primary goal of creating 007: Dawn is to present the players with the most exciting and impactful adventure possible," he said.
"007: Dawn" is scheduled to be released in 2026, but the specific date has not been determined yet, and more details will be announced later this year.
