Developer Techland recently announced a new trailer for its upcoming first-person action game, The Deserted Light: The Hidden Beast.This trailer focuses on the core stage of the game - a tourist town called "Beaver Valley", inspired by the Swiss Alps.

According to the trailer, Beaver Valley was once a lively and bustling mountain and forest tourist town. It was surrounded by mountains and densely forested natural environment and was adjacent to a national park.However, after the outbreak of the zombie epidemic, the fate of the town took a sharp turn.Players will be able to explore the abandoned restaurants, bars and other buildings, including various municipal facilities.
The town also plays a role in the gateway to the neighboring national parks.The trailer revealed that the national park’s design was inspired by the real world Table Mountain National Park in Poland.Players can explore various areas of different styles, including lodges, picnic areas and even rangers' huts.
In addition, Beaver Valley once owned an industrial park that was the lifeline of the town's economy.The area is full of buildings, silos, warehouses and production workshops, and players can explore freely to search for more supplies.
After showing some of the farmland scenery around Custerwoods, the trailer finally shows the town’s historic neighborhood.The neighborhood has a unique architectural style and was once the residence of the richest residents in the town. The large mansions and even hotels in the district will be available for players to explore.
"The Deserted Light: The Hidden Beast" will be officially released on August 22, 2025, and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms.The game will fully support up to four players to play online.
