Although Kojima Productions employees can take a break after "Death Stranding 2" is released on June 26, Kojima, the studio director, said on his latest radio broadcast that he has begun developing the studio's next game.
He said, "I'm already working on the next game now. Just myself. If I submit a project plan at this time, no one will like it, and they will say, 'Ah? I thought you were resting. You were actually talking about the next work.'"
Kojima also said that "Death Stranding 2" will continue to be updated after its release, but it will have to wait until the employees have finished their leave and return to the studio office.3D modelers will also return to work, which means they have to start working on roles, bosses, and weapon rendering.
"Death Stranding 2" has no plans to launch after-sales DLC. Kojima had previously stated that although there will be bug fix updates, he believes that the launch of after-sales chapter-based DLC "is not the current trend."
"Death Stranding 2" was first released on the PS5 platform. However, based on the studio's past records, the game may eventually be available to PC.After this, Kojima Production Studio will start developing two other games - OD and Physint.
