According to well-known media person Jeff Grubb, Sony's Santa Monica Studios is developing an original science fiction IP, led by Cory Barlog, the game director of God of War 4 (2018).Grubb said this sci-fi IP has been in development since 2018 and has been around for 7 years.

Grubb said that Santa Monica Studios began the concept creation of this science fiction IP after the release of "God of War 4". Perhaps we can see the pilot trailer on the next live broadcast of State of Play.

There have been rumors recently that Sony plans to skip the summer game festival in June this year and plans to hold its own press conference in September, which may be the best opportunity for the Santa Monica sci-fi IP to debut.
