Sakurai Masahiro recently revealed through Twitter that "Star Knight: Flying Knight" will be developed by Bandai Namco Studio.This is not the first time the manufacturer has developed works directed by Sakurai - they have previously led the development of "Nintendo Star Fight for WiiU/3DS" and "Nintendo Star Fight Special Edition".

Bandai Namco has also participated in the development of Nintendo's first-party works such as "Mario Kart 7", "Mario Kart Tour", "Mario Sports: Superstar" and "ARMS".In 2023, Bandai Namco officially announced the establishment of the "Second Studio" and "S Studio" to be responsible for the development of Nintendo's commissioned projects.
