Nintendo US President Doug Bowser reiterated that the company will continue to be committed to supporting the Switch after the release of the Switch 2.
Last week, Nintendo held an event in New York, where the media was invited to have the opportunity to try out the first games such as "Cyberpunk 2077", "The Legacy of Hogwarts", "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom", and also interviewed Nintendo executives.
The Washington Post asked Nintendo's U.S. President Bowser what plans do Switch have for the Switch after the release of the Switch 2.
Bowser replied: "What I want to say is that we will continue to look at consumers and how they can participate and get into the platform at all levels to really understand what the future might look like. Additionally, our Switch installation base is over 150 million units. We may announce more news on the next earnings call on May 8. We want to keep these players engaged. Not everyone is ready to turn to Switch 2."
"Pokemon Legend: Z-A" and "Metropolitan Prime 4: Beyond" will be available on the first generation Switch.Both games will also have Switch 2 versions.
