In Call of Duty: Warzone, the game's map has been replaced with many new maps as the version changes.The game's first map, "Verdansk", is about to return in a few days, and developer Activision said that the map was remade from scratch with a brand new technology.
In a new video posted on social media, Activision team uncovered the behind-the-scenes process of creating maps, including a new technology upgrade that will bring the map first launched in 2020 to a new look, but at the same time guarantee the classic feel of the original War Zone.
The new version of the map uses upgraded rendering technology, which has better results, and the environment effects such as grass, leaves, soil and water are more accurate and realistic, and have better physical effects.At the same time, the lighting has also been improved, and the overall lighting has undergone several changes.The team also added new high-resolution Skybox (Sky Map), upgraded reflections to the game, improving the quality of lightmap and better indoor and outdoor transitions.Shadows, backlights and interior lighting are all greatly enhanced.
Activision noted that three studios, Beenox, Raven and High Moon, have collaborated on this remake map to bring together “the best technology today” to ensure the map is “better than ever” while still being “faithful” to IW’s 2020 work.
This classic map will return on April 3 in Call of Duty: War Zone.
