Battlefield Lab released updates about the new "Battlefield" work "Gunfight and Movement".
Design concept
We continue to improve our gunfight and mobility mechanics throughout the Battlefield series. Now, in Battlefield Labs, we focus on refining the best elements of past works, modernizing them, and verifying whether they are fun and rewarding, and whether there is a proper balance between intuitive control and dynamic combat.
We are designing combat experiences to ensure players of all skill levels enjoy our gunfight and mobility systems. Our goal is to provide gameplay that can reward skills with precise weapon feedback and mobile options provided to older players, while providing new players with an intuitive experience that allows them to learn and enjoy.
Innovation and improvement of gunfight
We reduce the time delay from when you press the trigger until the bullet appears on the screen. This change reduces input latency, makes the shot feel more responsive and helps you better track and hit moving targets.
We are optimizing the refresh rate of 60Hz (server) to ensure that the update frequency of the game server is suitable for the responsive gaming experience of all platforms and input devices. This includes weapons and actions in the responsive gaming experience.
The recoil system has been adjusted to give each weapon type a unique feel when firing.By enhancing gun recoil, lens jitter and shooting stability, the recoil direction of each shot is now matched with its gaming angle.
Innovation and improvements in mobile
To evolve the movement system, we have made comprehensive adjustments to the animation and reintroduced movement features such as crouch sprints, combat tumbling and floor tumbling, while adding visual indicators to give a clearer understanding of when actions such as overturns or tilts can be performed.
