Monster Hunter: The Wild is one of the largest works in the Monster Hunter series to date, and it will not add new weapon types, at least Monster Hunter developers think this is the best.
In an interview with PCGamesN, Yu Tokuda, the director of Monster Hunter: Wilderness, also explained that given that all the weapons in the current arsenal are basically very mature and have a considerable diversity without overlapping with themNext, it is not easy to find a fifteenth weapon that can truly integrate into it and has its own characteristics.
Yu Tokuda also continued: "In each work, we adjust all the weapons and bring new concepts to them and their interactions as much as possible, so that players can get freshness. We also use new combos andAction brings new depth. Since the last weapon was added, we have always believed that these resources and time needed should be spent on taking the overall level to a better level, rather than simply adding a new weapon.”
Monster Hunter: The Wilderness will be released on February 28, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
