The iOS remake of "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles" has been removed from the shelves, and SquareEnix recently announced that it will terminate support for the game that was re-released four years ago.
On the official blog, SE revealed that there is a loophole in the game that has caused players to be unable to access the game content they had paid to purchase. The vulnerability was discovered in January, affecting the paid version of the game.
"Further investigation revealed that we were unable to completely fix the vulnerability and implement new changes, so it is unlikely to resume the game service," SE wrote. The company said it will continue to support the game "on other platforms"; the game currently hasAndroid, PS4 and Switch versions.
Players affected by the vulnerability will be able to apply for and receive a refund from Apple Customer Service, but only for players who have purchased a full game or purchased specific in-game items “in January 2024 or later.”
