Beamdog just released a new official update for its 2018 enhanced version of the "No Winter Night" enhanced version, which was completed by members of the still active MOD production group of "No Winter Night"——If this sounds familiar to you, it’s because this is not the first community update to be officially recognized by Beamdog.
The update note reads: “This release was made for personal pleasure and goodwill to our players and creator partners by unpaid software engineers in the No Winter Night community."The web names used by the "unpaid software engineers" mentioned above are clippy, Daz, Jasperre, niv, shadguy, Soren, tinygiant and virusman. The main features of this new patch include:
Built-in support for multisampling anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
Provides built-in analysis tools for players and multiplayer server administrators.
Produce "significant" optimization of network code and improve performance.
New scripting features and improvements.
Make quality adjustments to the Aurora Toolset Level Editor for "No Winter Night".
Most of these features seem to be aimed at players who are still operating multiplayer servers or creating custom campaigns for "No Winter Night", but there are several of them that can be experienced by players.
As for why this is important, it is because the lasting world of No Winter Night still has a group of audiences—essentially, they are small multiplayer online games that players use the Aurora tool set, such as Arelith.
