According to TGA's official tweet, Microsoft Game CEO Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) welcomed his 57th year today.

At the end of March 2014, Microsoft CEO Nadella released an internal letter announcing Phil Spencer to lead the Xbox, Xbox Live and the film and television sectors.

In September 2017, Spencer was promoted to the senior management team and served as vice president of the game department, reporting directly to CEO Nadella.

In January 2022, Spencer was promoted to CEO of Microsoft's gaming division as Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard.

In February 2022, Spencer won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th DICE Awards Ceremony.
