According to Ed Boon, co-creator and game director of Mortal Kombat 1, the sales of Mortal Kombat 1 game now exceeds 5 million copies. The game was originally launched in September 2023. The last time the sales information was updated was in 2024.In August 2019, the data at that time was 4 million copies, which means that another 1 million copies were sold in less than half a year.

Mortal Kombat 1 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch.
