According to Epyllion's latest report, PC games have dominated the mainstream market over the past decade.

Traditional view generally believes that the video game market always favors console platforms in terms of product release, because the PC version is usually launched several years after the console version is released. But despite this, PC games are still making huge progress in the competition.
According to Epyllion, the consumer revenue share of PC games has increased by 20% over the past few years, while the revenue of console platforms is in a “stagnant” state, reflecting different interest trends between the two platforms.

Since 2011, the global consumer consumption ratio on electronic games is undoubtedly the big one, followed by PC and then host.
The data show that while both platforms have grown exponentially over the years, PC gaming has significantly stronger growth momentum, and revenue figures are enough to prove this.It is surprising that PC games have revenues of 220% of console platforms over the past decade, especially given the general view that consoles have made more prominent contributions to the overall gaming industry.
Epyllion analysis believes that the growth of the PC platform is attributed to its "compound advantages" compared to the console and a more interactive gaming environment, which includes backward compatibility and greater control over gaming performance. In addition, weak console sales are also one of the factors that contribute to this situation. Because of this, PC gaming has made faster progress in the past few years, especially since 2021.
