Nintendo announced a price increase for the Nintendo Switch Online service, but only involves parts of Latin America.The price adjustment will be implemented in March this year.
Nintendo began sending emails to users about price changes today.Mexico, Brazil and Argentina will be affected.Although price changes have not been announced in other regions, this sets an interesting precedent for the future.
Here are the latest prices for the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Family Package in the affected areas (individual membership prices will also change):
Mexico: 1599 Mexican Peso > 1999 Mexican Peso
Brazil: 262.99 real > 299.00 real
Argentina: 76899 Argentine Peso > 93079 Argentine Peso
Nintendo's email did not mention the specific reason for the price increase of Nintendo Switch Online.However, the email pointed out that consumers can still maintain the current price if they subscribe before February 28.
